Paypal Philippines: Withdraw funds to your bank account

I just got an email update from Paypal...

Now you can add your Philippine bank account to your PayPal account, so you can withdraw your money directly to your bank. It saves you time and gives you faster access to your PayPal funds!

Plus, there is no charge to withdrawal amounts over PHP 7000*. So go ahead and add your bank account today!

*For withdrawal amounts of less than PHP 7000, there is a nominal fee of PHP 50.

At least I can now use my BPI account. However, before I can withdraw, I need to be a verified Paypal member. So this means I still have to apply for an EON card. Anyway, this is still good news!

Heath Ledger Found Dead

Ledger was found dead in his fourth floor apartment at 421 Broome Street in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City on January 22, 2008. Ledger's body was found at 3:26 p.m. EST by a housekeeper and a massage therapist, who entered the bedroom to find him face down, naked, and unconscious at the foot of his bed with sleeping pills on a nearby night table. Police found more prescription medication in the bathroom but did not find any illegal drugs. (Source: Wikipedia)

I watched CNN this noon and this headline came out at the bottom of the screen. I couldn't believe it so I had to go online. First Brad Renfro and then Ledger in just a span of one week! I was still recovering from Brad's. Wow. This year is turning out to be a depressing one for Hollywood. Two of my favorite actors who don't care about fame are dead. I wonder what would I feel when I watch The Dark Knight this summer? He was a great actor. He chose to be one. You will be greatly missed. RIP

Update: I added a photo, can't help it.

R.I.P. Brad Renfro

Brad RenfroAlthough he's been labeled a 'bad boy', I still admire this talented actor of my time.

Brad Renfro was found dead in his LA home Tuesday, January 15, at the age of 25. This former child star began his career with a role in The Client, when he was just 10 years old. And while his fame kind of faded, his acting skills didn't. In fact, he starred in some critically acclaimed movies as an adult like Bully and Ghost World.

Tonight I have been watching some Brad videos on Youtube, some of which I should not have missed while he was still alive. I forgot that he has an accent and that he talks funny. He was shameless in a funny, humble way. (Plus his guitar-playing rocks!!!)

And now I'm reminded of Jonathan Brandis. It was only last year that I found out about his death.

The news says Brad's autopsy will start as early as Wednesday. If it turns out drugs has something to do with this, he will be compared to River Phoenix more. In fact, similarities were already noted before: both very talented, both child stars, both had bands and were good guitarists and of course, the drug issues... now their deaths.

Sheesh. I'm affected. I don't like it when people die without any good reason at all, and especially those who still have something to prove. Though he was a bit retarded (like he said), I believe he was a good person, otherwise, his grandma wouldn't take him in, right? I still believe in people, the good in us, and our chances. And to you Brad, Jon and River, thanks for the good memories... praying for a good rest.

P.S. My grandfather's brother's wife also died yesterday. Rest in peace grandma!

Uploading Prints

Since last week, I was kinda absorbed in making prints for my photos, at least those that look passable. I found this site where you can upload and sell prints of your photos through a contact at the Talent Database.

Imagekind offers prints as well as framed versions of your photos easily customizable with the click of a button. And unlike Smugmug, it has a free registration where users can upload up to 24 photos. This is good for starters like me since I don't have that many good photos anyway.

And then I remembered Deviantart. I have been with DA for two years now and I don't know why it never occurred to me to try their print feature. DA has developed quite fast and I liked that it offers product prints such as mugs, mouse pads and coasters. It's easy to use, the layout is simple but effective and its free services are more than I could ask for. No wonder it is the haven of great unknowns and professionals.
