The Huron Carol

A blessed Christmas to everyone!

Info from youtube:

The "Huron Carol" (or "'Twas in the Moon of Wintertime") is a Christmas hymn, written in 1643 by Jean de Brébeuf, a Christian missionary at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons in Canada. Brébeuf wrote the lyrics in the native language of the Huron/Wendat people; the song's original Huron title is "Jesous Ahatonhia" ("Jesus, he is born"). The song's melody is a traditional French folk song, "Une Jeune Pucelle" ("A Young Maid"). The well known English lyrics were written in 1926 by Jesse Edgar Middleton.

This version is performed by Heather Dale, and sung in Wendat (Huron), French and English.

Banwa Site Up

Banwa Academic Journal
This is the final template for Banwa, the Academic Journal of UP Mindanao. It came out a lot different from what was originally planned. It seems they wanted something more simple and clean.

This site uses a free content management system for academic journals called Open Journal System, based on the Smarty template.

Born of Hope - now showing online

The second Lord of the Rings fan film of the year is now showing. Born of Hope is a 70-minute film about the parents of Aragorn and the struggles of the Dúnedain. I had lower expectations based on the trailers, which for me, were weaker than the trailer of The Hunt for Gollum, but I was surprised to see that the acting was good. The music, costumes, props, visual effects and landscapes: all very well-made. It was a little dragging at times, but overall, an excellent little film! The fans will surely love it.

The movie is being screened for free on Dailymotion.
